~Week 4~ Parasols: Vital or frivolous?~

I sadly don't have a Laptop for a week or two as it is off for repairs. So there won't be photos.

Anyway~
This weeks question is
Parasols: Vital or frivolous?

To me they are Vital. Vital. Vital~

Im a tad photophobic, I end up sneezing in sunlight and in bright/white light I find it hard to see. As well as I look dirty with a tan and I can't stand being hot.
So portable shade is perfict for me.

As well as living in England when the sun can turn to rain with no warning~

Also a parasols can make an outfit look even better in my opinion.
Just brings the look together I think.

I currently have two parasol/umbrellas.

First one I brought in Asakusa Sensouji when I went to japan.
It is adorable and has such nice details.

The other one I have I got from Tkmax for £10. I had been looking for a cute frilly umbrella for ages. Do I had to snach it. If I remeber correct it has Uv protection, perfect Parasol/umbrella I think.

So in short I believe they are Vital because they add a cute extra to any outfit.I don't like the sun or tanning or being hot so portable shade is a must to me. As well as they are so cute.

Thats all fOr now

Week 3 ~ How long it took me to build a complete wardrobe~

Todays post is Week 3 of the 52 week Lolita challenge.

This weeks question is

30. How long it took me to build a complete wardrobe?

I personally don't think I will ever or could ever have a complete wardrobe.

I don't personally think there is such a thing as a complete wardrobe. I guess many would say that a complete wardrobe would be enough clothes for a weeks worth of outfits.

That would to me consist of a pair of bloomers/safety shorts, a petticoat, 2 blouses, a one piece, 2 jumper skirts and a skirt or two. Then a 2 pairs of tights. As well as possible outer wear to up the amount of  outfits. That would be enough for a weeks worth of outfits. Accessories too and bags but they alone do not make the  lolita outfit.
Of course change up the number a bit to your liking. You don't need 7 blouses and 7 dresses and 7 skirts. For some people that would be far too much to get just to start out.

There will always be something new I want to have and to me a complete wardrobe would have all the clothes I want. So at one point I may have a complete wardrobe, but a month later something new will be about I would want.

So in short I have not nore will I ever have a complete wardrobe in my opinion.

~My Kimchi 4 U Review~

~Hello~

Today's post is going to be a review! yay~

I have ordered from Mykimchi4u.com twice before.
They stock cute adorable stationary. Everything from diaries to stickers to even fashion items. All at reasonable prices with a reasonable shipping cost too!

This time I ordered a new diary for this year and some new stickers!

I ordered not long before Christmas last year.

Normally it would be sent within a week or ordering, however this time it didn't and I received an email. This email said that the ChooChooCat diary stickers I had ordered had been discontinued, and would I like the other ChooChooCat stickers they sold. I was disappointed but, I accepted the other stickers.

I checked the order again a few more week and no change, I was confused. It got to just after new year and I thought I'll email to find out. I received and reply very quickly. Saying they was sorry for the lateness they had been busy, they had sent my package out that day. They also said they managed to get the ChooChooCat diary stickers I wanted. I was ecstatic!

I really didn't expect them to say that!

2 weeks later I had my order. As always it came heavily bubble wrapped and with a free gift.
My last free gifts where stickers and little sweet, this time it was a delicious sweetened rice cracker. My favourite~

As always the stickers are great, the diary is adorable and I can't wait to fill it up.

My photo editing program would not add the photos of the other stickers sadly.

Week 2 ~ Why I wear Lolita?~

So todays (As I am behind a little) is

7.  Why I wear Lolita?

Well where to start. Apart form my love of Victorian fashion and Japan there are many other reasons why I wear Lolita.
I guess the first one that comes to mind is ~It is my
Armor~
My aspergers makes it hard for me to cope with going outside and speaking to people and so on.
To me Lolita is so comfortable to me that it protects me from what I fear. I wouldn't say that I put on someone else when I wear Lolita, but I can be me without it being weird.
I love the idea of being an elegant, graceful woman and Lolita helps me be that.

Secondly I love lace, frills and petticoats. So hey that is Lolita in a whole (^.^)

Thirdly I just don't fit clothes in this country....seriously everything I like is made for someone with twice my bust and 5 inches taller.
Asian clothes and shoes at least fit me Why not go all in (^=^)

~That is all for now~

Week 1 ~How I first found out about Lolita~

So finally a few weeks late but lets start this 52 week challenge.

I shall start with

10. How I first found out about Lolita

I guess I first found out about lolita when I was about 5. Watching Cardcapture Sakura. I already had a love for Victorian dolls and clothes. I still remember what episode it was.
I fell in love with the cat outfit from (if I recall correctly) the time card episode. The cute fluffy skirt and it just joint my already love of Victorian things.
I also recall lots of the dresses my mum got me when I was younger, sailor collar poofy dresses, Victorian style coats, lace and frills. I believe it also tided into my love of Disney princess movies. What little girl didn't love them? hehe.

I then sort of fell out of love with it a little. Going into school and trying to fit in while still not fitting in at all. In secondary school I was very into the goth/emo thing. I loved the Victorian look of the gothic corsets and tutus and such. I never really managed to get into it. However from there I got into visual kei bands, searching for photos of them for a blog I had back there I stumbled across Lolita as a real life thing. I had originally just thought it as an anime thing.

So from there I rekindled my love.

Around age 16 I got my first piece and all moved on from there....

Sorry this is so long and makes little sense (>.<)
